Honourable Abubakar Kabir Abubakar Bichi is a native of Bichi, Kano State. He holds a BSc in Interdisciplinary Studies and an MSc in Energy Management, both from the New York Institute of Technology.
He was first elected to the Federal House of Representatives in 2019 to represent Bichi Federal Constituency, and was re-elected in 2023 on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In the 10th Assembly he serves as Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriations, the committee responsible for the national budget, having previously chaired the House Committee on Works from 2019 to 2023.
